I have very close to 150 roses (so much for deciding to limit myself to 100 roses about 5 years ago!) I grow quite a few roses outside the garden fence with companion plants. I grow milkweed there too and had a lot of monarch activity last year. Inside the garden, I grow hybrid teas, floribundas, shrub roses, David Austin roses, polyanthas, a few minifloras and miniatures, and I do have a few old garden roses….so a little bit of everything. I also grow quite a few fruit trees. This year my greatest challenge in my completely spray-free garden is my 9 month old puppy, Teddy.
