Our monthly meeting will take place on Monday, April 21, starting at 6:30 p.m. This month’s meeting will focus on learning how to exhibit roses and the judging criteria for a rose show. This is in anticipation of our upcoming PSWD Conven- tion and SDRS Rose Show on May 2-4, 2025.

We are privileged to have our own Linda Clark serving as speaker and judge of the Little Rose Show. Linda is a Master Rosarian, past ARS Pacific Southwest District Director, SDRS Rose Show Coordinator, award winning rose exhibitor and rose horticultural judge.

This working and learning meeting will start with preparation for our first Little Rose Show in 2025. Volunteers will be circulating to assist members with staging their blooms, photographs or arrangements. Linda will judge the entries in all the categories. Linda will explain the basics of horticulture judging to win the best awards in a rose show. So remember to bring your best rose blooms, photographs and arrangements to enter into the Little Rose Show. Come enjoy this evening of learning, fun and teamwork.

There will be a silent auction of five roses prior to the meeting.

Directions to Casa del Prado, Room 101: The Casa del Prado building is immediately west of the Natural History Museum. Entrances to the Casa del Prado lead to an inner court. The rooms are accessible from the court. Room 101 is downstairs on the east end of the court.
