Our Mission

The San Diego Rose Society is the oldest and largest rose society in Southern California. Established in 1927. The society serves the needs of San Diego County rose growers through its Consulting Rosarians, its newsletter Rose Ramblings, monthly membership meetings, an annual rose show, support of the Inez Grant Parker Memorial Rose Garden in San Diego’s Balboa Park, participation in the San Diego County Fair, and through its website and social media. We are affiliated with the American Rose Society, Inc.

Meetings

Meetings of the San Diego Rose Society are held on the fourth Mondays of January and February, and the third Monday of March, April, May, June, September, October, and November, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 101 of Casa del Prado in Balboa Park (directly west of the Natural History Museum). We do not meet in July, August, and December, unless otherwise announced in Rose Ramblings. Meetings are free and open to the public and guests are always welcome.

How to Join

Membership dues for each calendar year (Jan-Dec) start at $20 per person or household. Every member receives an electronic copy of our newsletter, Rose Ramblings. Members are encouraged to support the efforts of the society through higher membership levels including: Contributing: $25 Supporting: $35 Sustaining: $50 Patron: $100 To join, click here or sign up in-person at our next meeting at Balboa Park.
