Bill & Elaine are consulting rosarians and live in the Clairemont/Bay Park area. Elaine is the editor of our award-winning newsletter Rose Ramblings.
Kristine & Robert
Robert is a consulting rosarian. He and his wife Kristine live in the Crest neighborhood (near El Cajon). Robert is the VP of Programs, and they both coordinate the Little Rose Show at many of the society meetings.

What is a consulting rosarian?
One of the major advantages of belonging to the American Rose Society (ARS) is access to a national network of Consulting Rosarians (CRs). This program has been in place since 1920 when it was limited to hybridizers, nurserymen, scholars, and Presidents of the American Rose Society. In an effort to expand the program, in 1949 the ARS Board of Directors decided that each district would appoint its own CRs who would follow guidelines established by the Board. Finally, in 1996, to ensure that CRs were well qualified, ARS districts established a system of CR schools and exams. CRs today are required to re-certify every four years by attending educational sessions.
