One of the most fun and joyful experiences rose lovers can have is to visit a rose garden. Think Butchart Gardens or Portland Rose Garden or San Jose Municipal Rose Garden or Ringling Museum of Art Rose Garden or Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden or the White House Rose Garden. But that takes money and lots of travel.

Here in San Diego, we can go to our own Inez Grant Parker Rose Garden in Balboa Park.

WE ALSO HAVE HUNDREDS OF MEMBERS OF THE SAN DIEGO ROSE SOCIETY WITH BEAUTIFUL ROSE GARDENS AND THAT IS WHERE WE WANT TO FOCUS IN 2024.

A LEARNING GARDEN IS A PLACE WHERE A GARDENER WANTS TO LEARN FROM THE PEOPLE WHO COME TO VISIT AND TO SHARE WHAT THEY HAVE LEARNED IN THEIR OWN GARDEN. IT IS ALSO A PLACE TO MEET MORE SDRS MEMBERS AND MAKE MORE FRIENDS.

Everyone in the San Diego Rose Society can participate—house gardens, apartment gardens, tiny ones, big ones, few roses, lots of roses.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help with the 2024 San Diego County Fair Garden Exhibit for the San Diego Rose Society. The fair runs from June 12 to July 7, 2024.
